looking good with our practicum uniform :)

What makes your college life more fun is having a lot of crazy friends :)). Since I do not belong to a block section, I met different people every day in every class when I was in first year. I thought I would always be “forever alone” for the students in a block section are close to each other, good thing that I meet a lot of friends in every class: D
There are friends that always there in time of ups and downs, like tough school works and even in crazy things. (haha)  It’s more fun in Holycross especially when you met such crazy friends as I have.

TAKE MORE CHANCES, DANCE MORE DANCES

me and raffy, after the 1st performance

with the trainers and co-dancers

ever supportive parents :D

Just like the other year, me and Raffy represent the BA department in dancesports - standard category. We got a good trainer. Yes, he’s good but we always end up midnight and got a lot of backpains and neck pains every practice. The training was tough. We are always scolded; we sometimes got mad at him when he pushes to continue our practice very late.
That time we are in the second place. Though our trainer aimed that we get the 1st place, but 2nd place is not bad at all. I really did not expect to be part again of top five because other participants are good. Well, that was a remarkable experience for my last Holycross intramural.

JUST DANCE

BSBA dancesports representative

Pose! (before the performance)

It was 2013 when I started to participate in intramurals ( As in to represent our department). I decided to be part of the dancesport as they lack one lady for the standard category. A month before the presentation, we practice and practice. We are in pressure, since we need to be part of the top 5 winners as the former dancers did.
Since I don’t have a background in social dancing, I need to learn the basics. My partner Raffy, a former dancer (of dancesport) taught me some. They say partners should always communicate both verbally and nonverbally to have a good dance. Well, practicing is stressful one because we also have studies to attend to. Raffy and I always fought during practice, (strong na kaayo me) that sometimes we shouted each other because we can’t perfect the steps. But at the end of the day, we fixed things out in order to have a good presentation.
We are very happy that we got the 3rd place of standard category. Not bad for first timer like me. All the body pains, stress, and pressure are worth it. That made my intramural 2013 in Holycross a great one

INTRAMURAL

Young and innocent faces. Taken during intramural 2011.

When I was in 1st year college, I was one of those students who go to school for just the attendance in Intramural, since it is a requirement to be present and cheer our representatives. I go early to school to catch the 1st attendance then wait for a veeery long time for the last attendance for the day. It is fun when you are with your friends but you need to have extra extra money, because you will always eat and eat and eat but others go drink! :D

LEARNING IS FUN

On our way to Kaputian Resort.

With the classmates. Preparing for the trip.
The vanishing Island.

One of the requirements of NS1 or Natural Science subject is attending the field trip. We had our field trip at Samal Island. Together with other class we observe the natural beauty of the sea as our teacher refreshed the lessons in our classroom with what we saw. We enjoy the view especially that we are also learning.

After the discussion and sightseeing, we had our lunch at Kaputian Resort. There we swim and play with my classmates and schoolmates. Too bad we only have one day for the field trip, so before the darkness come, we traveled to Davao and go on our ways.
