| Pose! (before the performance) |
It was 2013 when I
started to participate in intramurals ( As in to represent our
department). I decided to be part of the dancesport as they lack one
lady for the standard category. A month before the presentation, we
practice and practice. We are in pressure, since we need to be part
of the top 5 winners as the former dancers did.
Since I don’t
have a background in social dancing, I need to learn the basics. My
partner Raffy, a former dancer (of dancesport) taught me some. They
say partners should always communicate both verbally and nonverbally
to have a good dance. Well, practicing is stressful one because we
also have studies to attend to. Raffy and I always fought during
practice, (strong na kaayo me) that sometimes we shouted each
other because we can’t perfect the steps. But at the end of the
day, we fixed things out in order to have a good presentation.
We are very happy
that we got the 3rd place of standard category. Not bad for first
timer like me. All the body pains, stress, and pressure are worth it.
That made my intramural 2013 in Holycross a great one
